Working with Josh has been a game changer for my running. Over several seasons, he’s developed three ultra marathon training plans for me — each uniquely adapted to my changing schedule and needs. I was attracted to Josh by watching him in the gym I had started to attend in New York City because I saw him doing things with his clients that no one had ever done with me. By that I mean rope climbing,  Kettle bell lunges, combined with push-ups, combined with heavyweight ball slams, combined with rowing, combined with combined with combined with. New combinations of new exercises with steady instruction made each workout anything but routine. 

Once we started working together, I was amazed at the very, very personal interest and insight that Josh took and required of me in the almost daily way we ultimately ended up training together over time. He was consistently thoughtful, and I knew that when I left him for the day, he was still thinking and reformatting and going over how we and he could improve my workout experience and my get to my goals well after our required time was over. He changed up our workout almost every three months if not sometimes sooner if he felt that there were things that needed to change. He consistently re-introduced me to new ways of thinking about my workout, my body, and my goals in the process, and maybe most importantly, he became a trusted friend with phenomenal expertise. Im short, a bespoke coach specifically for me. And that has continued as our paths have taken apart. He continues to check in on me, offer support, Introduce me to new ideas and clearly very much cares about my well-being and my fitness goals. I’ve never had a partner (and I call him that more than a “ trainer”) like Josh, who has given me so much insight, education, attention, and ultimately friendship as Josh has. 

I believe that since Josh and I stopped training It’s been near impossible and probably will always be for me to ever find as dedicated a partner in my training and as caring a coach as Josh has been to me.

Josh has coached and written training plans for me that included activities ranging from hiking a mountain to running a 100 miler. One of the things that has impressed me about Josh's coaching is his expansive knowledge base, which includes breath work, the differences between female and male runners, strength exercises to boost performance or address injuries, and assisting in the growth of the individual's mind, body, and soul.
